Caraça and Caratinga are two great places to visit in the state of Belo Horizonte. In this region you will find two completely different nature habitats: Cerrado (Brazilian Savannah), and the Atlantic Rain Forest. Caraça is a great destination for bird lovers and a unique place to observe the maned wolf up close, since in Caraça you can see more than 100 species of birds. Caratinga is a natural reserve, where you can find a variety of endemic primates and other animals.
